After several days of rain the sun came out and a fair number of us were able to wade through the mud for Harlen’s Hammer-in the weekend of April 19th.
The plan had been to learn the intricacies of leaves so that we would have enough for a nice gate or rail at the new site when it is finished.
Earl Barney began with the first demonstration ...
and then the serious pounding began ...
The leaf process grew to a few tools that were needed also and several of us
went home with the tools to make more leaves and experiment with different leaves.

After lunch Randy Dack demonstrated another leaf and we were able to add to
the collection.
The group also had two meetings this weekend. The board met and approved a
scholarship for Jim Glines and discussed that the PBA website be utilized for
most of the clubs announcements as the Newsletter is on a two month schedule.
Junior Straisal and Bud Williams have dusted the ashes off the PBA
Website, and Eric Klaus will be the new webmaster. Eric can be reached at
eric.klaus@gmail.com and if we want
the site to really work we will get info and news to him in a timely manner.
(please, send news articles, ideas for the site, etc!!)
The building committee also met and have pretty well decided on size and shape
of the structure. They are also working on getting some funds and a grant to
move the project forward. They will be coordinating with Camp Creek as to use
of funding aids and use of their funding history. They are also working on establishing
an audience that would use the museum and also be attending demonstrations.
